I cut the slices of bread in half, transversely.

I beat 6 eggs with salt and milk.

I mixed the sweet cheese with the sugar, the vanilla sugar, the two remaining eggs and the raisins. I greased a rectangular yena bowl well, quite deep. I rolled the slices of bread in the composition obtained from eggs and milk ... and I placed them in the tray next to each other, glued, without squeezing them. I also lined the edges of the bowl with these slices of bread.

Then I poured half of the cheese composition over which I added another layer of bread soaked this time squeezed well, then the remaining cheese and the last layer of bread soaked. I spread a few flakes of butter on top. Bake for 45 minutes until lightly browned.

Pour the pudding on a plate, but it must be left covered until it cools down a bit ... after which we raise the bowl and the pudding will be ready to serve. Sprinkle with powdered sugar ... I also served it with strawberry jam

Vegan bread pudding recipe

Here we propose a wonderful recipe for vegan bread tea in which we replace milk of animal origin for vegetable drinks and eggs for chickpea flour.

  • 1/2 l. Of vegetable drinks (you can use one you like, from soy milk to rice milk, oatmeal or almond flakes)
  • 1/2 kg. of hard bread (preferably from the previous day)
  • 2 tablespoons chickpea flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • Half a cup of raisins
  • 2 tablespoons fine oatmeal
  • Cinnamon powder
  • Unrefined sunflower oil
  1. Put the bread in a large bowl, add your favorite vegetable drink and let it soak for 45 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, 10 minutes before the bread softens, preheat the oven to 180º.
  3. Then put the soaked bread in the mixer glass together with the milk and leave it well.
  4. Add the 2 tablespoons of chicken flour, the amount of cinnamon powder you like best, the brown sugar and come back again to crush everything.
  5. Now add fine oatmeal and raisins and mix well with a wooden spoon.
  6. Put a little sunflower oil in a baking dish and run it over the well to prevent the dough from sticking to the walls. Then pour the bread mixture into the baking dish.
  7. Put it in the oven and cook for 25 minutes at 150º.
  8. After that, our vegan bread pudding will be ready. Remove from the oven and allow to cool before breaking.

As we can see, it is a simple but extremely versatile recipe. So much so that you can't add raisins. In short, you can do it with any dried fruit you like, such as almonds or pistachios, and use other dried fruits, such as dried apricots or prunes.

At meal time, it is ideal to warm up a little and pour a little honey or by Panel. And, because it couldn't be less, to accompany it with a good cup of tea or coffee. Enjoy it Vegan Topics Vegan Recipes

How to put them together

You know the essential parts of a bread pudding, so let's talk about how to combine them all. Depending on the bread pudding recipe, you will need either a rectangular baking pan, muffin tins (three words: pudding muffins) or individual ramekines.

After you have cut the bread, soak it by soaking it in the pan for at least an hour. Some recipes also use to soak the bread overnight, but it is not imperative. "If you skip this step, don't worry," says Pam. Yes, it may add a little more flavor to your bread pudding, but it won't make it or break it.

When it's time to bake your bread pudding, the oven should not be higher than 350 degrees. If your oven is too hot, the cream may break and begin to melt. According to Pam, an overcooked bread pudding is one of the most common mistakes anyone can make. Soaking your bread in advance will help keep your pudding moist while baking.

Finally, the final key to a successful bread pudding is to know how to tell when it is fully cooked. Pam uses this safe method - insert a knife in the middle of the bread pudding and if it comes out clean, then you know it's over. Keep in mind that your bread pudding will continue to cook a little as it cools out of the oven.

It is tempting to dig correctly, but let the bread pudding cool slightly so that you can taste the flavors better. Serve hot - and preferably with a spoonful of ice cream.

Semolina pudding with cheese and yogurt & # 8211 in the oven

Semolina pudding with cheese and yogurt & # 8211 in the oven. Cheese pudding recipe with semolina. Pudding with semolina with milk, sweet cottage cheese, yogurt and raisins or candied fruit. Homemade pudding recipes. Dessert recipes for children.

I made this semolina pudding with cheese and yogurt several times, especially when my son was little. It is a perfect homemade dessert for children but also for adults.

It is the kind of pudding that can be served both hot and cold in the following days. I present it with topping of browned breadcrumbs and cream rubbed with sugar and vanilla.

The cow's cheese I used for this pudding was a bucket. The yogurt was Greek with 10% fat. If you do not like raisins then you can put dehydrated cranberries or cubes of other candied fruits (orange peel, apricots, plums, cherries, etc.).

From the quantities below come out approx. 12-16 servings of semolina pudding with cheese and yogurt. My heat resistant shape is 30 & # 21525 cm. You can also use a round shape of approx. 26-28 cm in diameter (preferably NOT with removable walls because the pudding composition will drain into the oven).

BREAD pudding with cottage cheese & # 8211 recipe from long ago

• 1 sliced bread
• 400-500 g of cottage cheese
• 500 ml of milk
• 8 eggs
• 30 g of butter
• 200 g of sugar
• 2 sachets of vanilla sugar
• 1 pinch of salt
• a handful of fruits: raisins, cranberries, dried blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, etc.

Turn on the oven and let it heat up to 180 degrees C.

Prepare the cream first: mix the cheese with 2 eggs, the raisins (if using), the sugar and the vanilla sugar.

Then prepare the tray in which you will bake the pudding, greasing it with a little butter or margarine. Use a tray or a deep, not very large, preferably square or rectangular shape.

Cut the bread slices in half. In a tall bowl, beat the remaining 6 eggs with the milk and a pinch of salt, using a whisk. Soak each half slice of bread in this liquid composition, and without squeezing them, place them on the bottom and walls of the tray.

Spread half of the cream cheese over the first layer of bread. Then place another layer of slices of bread soaked in milk and egg, squeezed a little this time. Spread a new layer of cream cheese, and cover at the end with a last layer of soaked bread.

Sweet Cheese Bread Pudding Recipe

Put the tray in the hot oven and let the pudding bake for about 50 minutes, or until you see it brown.

When ready, remove the pan from the oven and turn the pudding over on a plate. Do not lift the tray until it cools down a little, so as not to spoil the shape of the pudding.

Powder the pudding on top with vanilla powdered sugar. Cut the pudding into slices, like on a cake. You can serve it with milk, coffee, tea, or jam.

For this pudding you can also use a layer of apples, to get a cooler and tastier dessert. Use any flavors you like.

Re: Bread pudding

It looks great ... this weekend I'm getting to work. is the vanilla sauce similar to the one in the network of pancakes with cocoa and mascarpone ?? Or did you use another recipe?

Ioana 6 years ago - March 20, 2014 11:13 AM

Re: Bread pudding

it's the same vanilla sauce, it's the most profitable, the whole egg is used, not just the yolk.
the poppy is ground with sugar in equal quantities. I grind more and keep it in a jar for such desserts.
increase and lust!

Re: Bread pudding

In Satu Mare a place famous for traditional Hungarian food is No Pardon, on Corvinilor Street.
At Beltiug there is a winery (also Hungarian) Nachbil.
When you arrive? If you stay in Satu Mare I would be happy to see you for a coffee / tea tonight at 7.30, then I finish classes.

Re: Bread pudding

thanks for the suggestion, a gulyas would work! we go to the wineries I don't know if we stay until so late in the area, we see what we find on the road, the plan is not nailed down. but I have your phone and I'll send you a message if we're still in town at that time.

Re: Bread pudding

There is also an Italian restaurant, for some time, it is located in the center - Trattoria per passione. (Near the city library, the only one in town)

Re: Bread pudding

thank you! noted! it's good that I asked you, I searched on google before and nothing you recommended to me appeared on the first pages. although now I tend to lean towards the Hungarian one, I don't know what lusts I will have when we get there, depending on how much my grandmother pushes us forward.

Hi, I would like to make this recipe too, only I don't have poppy bars here. I thought of replacing them with baguette bread. What do you advise me? if not what can I replace them with? a good day and I envy you for all the culinary meetings you have.

Ioana 6 years ago - 27 March 2014 14:34

Re: Bread pudding

Paul, can't you find some sweeter bread? not just like the cake, but similar. if not, you can use any white bread, the wand is good too.

Re: Bread pudding

Who would have thought that something so good could come out of something so simple? And how it smells when you take it out of the oven.
Let's wait 3-4 hours for it to cool, you say? But who else had patience ?! I cut it as hot as it was and put two slices in the freezer to cool immediately. Yes I know. it's not a very smart idea, but I couldn't resist

Diana 5 years ago - 13 June 2014 22:20

Re: Bread pudding

P.S. I have a request: when you post recipes that require the use of the oven, can you mention if you use an electric or gas oven and what stage of the oven do you use?
For example, I have an electric oven and for this recipe I used the middle stage, the function with both upper and lower heating. The pudding burned a little on the surface and remained a bit undone inside, as a result I put it back in the tray and left it for another 15 minutes on the function with only lower heating.
Obviously, each oven has different instructions, but it would be useful to mention what settings you use (I no longer have the oven instruction book and I don't know exactly how to use it).
Thank you!

Re: Bread pudding

Diana, could you turn her upside down so hot? it sticks to the bottom of the tray.

Ioana 5 years ago - 14 June 2014 11:43

Re: Bread pudding

Diana, all my recipes so far are made in a gas oven, with the heat from below. both, just like in the old ovens, without fan or other special programs. only when using the specific grill in the recipe this.
the pudding may look undone inside if you cut it hot. it must be cooled exactly like burnt sugar cream.

Diana 5 years ago - 14 June 2014 12:06

Re: Bread pudding

Thank you for the answers!
With the help of a knife, I was able to easily peel it off the walls of the tray, but it "deflated" immediately, as expected. When it cooled I could cut it into slices, easily. Anyway, for me it was the taste that mattered, not the look
From now on I will try to use the lower heating function of the oven.
